Baby bump.

                                                                 24 almost 25 weeks.

And the Ethington's are having a.....

Oct 4th we had 2 doctors appointments. 1st was the midwife check up at 315, 2nd was the ultrasound at 330. We had to be there a little early to do paper work for the ultrasound, so we went to the hospital at 300 thinking we would have enough time to fill out paper work and be on time. We hurried and got the paper work and went to the midwife office. We checked in at 303 and didn't get in til 334. Oh and when we checked in we were told we would be in and out so we could make it to the ultrasound on time. Yeah right. We got to the room and we did the normal stuff and the nurse told us the midwife will be right in for you guys. Before she leaved us alone I told her we have another appointment to be to at 330 and it was already 338. She smiled and said she would go get the midwife and call the ultrasound office and tell them we would be late. That was all fine but Daniel needed to be to school at 445 and we wanted to know if it was a boy or girl before his class. So we waited and waited finally I looked at the clock and it was 358. I turned to Daniel and told him the time we both stood up and leaved. The lady at the front was sitting there so I told her we need to leave we still have another appointment and I need to get my husband to school. She looked at us and told us you guys are still here. Call tomorrow and we will get another appointment set up for you. We go to the ultrasound office and the lady tells us we are late really late and they cant see us. I was ready to cry. I really wanted to know if it was a boy or a girl. Daniel told her why we where late and she let us in.  The nurse did have a hard time seeing if it was a girl or a boy. The little one will not open the legs so we could take a peek. After a while we saw it, we are going to have a boy. I turned to Daniel and told him I knew it. Mommy's know these things. We high fived each other and finished the ultrasound. Everything looked great but the bowels. So we had to come back a month later and check them out again. They are fine. We got pictures and a DVD of the ultrasound. We hurried and got another appointment and off to go get Kalvin and take Daniel to school.  I took Daniel to school and went to my parents place. I made a shirt for my dad saying IT"S A.... then on the back GRANDSON.I put the pictures and the shirt in a box and gave it to my dad. Matt was home when he open it and screamed it's a boy! I made a card for my mom saying guess what.... it's a boy. My dad, Kalvin, Matt and I hid in the kitchen. We put the card in a box and put in by the front door. My mom open the door and walked right by it. I screamed look in the box! She was so happy. Daniel's parents couldn't know til Daniel got home from school at 9. His mom didn't like that idea and wanted to know. She texted and texted me begging me to tell her. Before getting Daniel I stopped at SMITH"S and got a cake saying it's a boy on it. His dad cried he was getting his grandson. That's our long day on how we found out what Conner Daniel Ethington was going to be.

Daniel has a cookie craving.

One night Daniel was really craving for a cookie. We didnt have any so he made some at 10:56 at night. I know a really werid time to start cooking cookies. I thought my cravings have werid times but this was crazy. Daniel when he cooks he gets in the ZONE. So Kalvin and I just sat and watched him do his thing. They turned out so good. I think we both eat three or more before bed.

Gain weight!

Well today we go to the doctors appointment and they see how much I weigh and I have gained 0 pounds since I've been pregnant. My doctor told me I need to gain a pound a week for five weeks. This was a first; The doctor told me to go home and start eating candy and ice cream. Food that will put weight on me. What I'm confused is why have I gained 0 pounds and my belly looks like I ate Kalvin whole. Our next appointment is October 4th and that is when we find out what the baby is. Fingers cross its a little boy, We already have a name and its a boys name. I don't like a lot of girl names so if its a girl that is going to be a hard one.

Nothing new this week.

There is nothing that has really happen this week so this blog updates going to be a little lame. Sorry. The only thing new is that we are speaking in church for the second time this summer. We are speaking on the 26th of Sept. That's one week after we find out what we are having.

Oh well this week we had Matt and Laura come over for dinner Monday. We had hamburger pie with seasoned veggies and then my favorite jello (strawberry and banana with really bananas in it.) then for dessert Daniel made peach cob. So good.

Tonight we are having Bill, Iva and Micky over for dinner. We are having chicken parmesan on pasta with garlic bread and a grandpa salad then dessert either cookies or brownies with ice cream. Kalvin is really happy he gets to play with Micky tonight.

So that about it for this week and last week.

3 months!!!

I'm feeling so much better now that I'm in my second trimester. We have a doctors appointment on the 30th and then in five weeks we find out what we are having. I sure hope its a boy.

Baby bump at 3 months.

I can hear you but where are you?

Daniel was trying to tell me something so I walked in the living room so i could hear him better. I walked in and he was no where to be found. I called out to Daniel where are you? I'm right here cant you see me? No I just see Kalvin. Look in the couch Alicia. I looked and this is where I found him.

The other day it was so funny. I pulled out my camera to play around with it and kalvin came up to me and started to nug me like take my pictures. I pointed it to him and he would strike a pose for me. I was laughing so hard each time he would do a diffrent pose for me. Our little dog is a funny little thing. Here are some of the pictures I took.

Whats that smell?

The other night Daniel and I came home and after ten minutes of being home we could smell something burning. We go in the kitchen and we looked couldn't find where it was coming from so we thought it was the candle that was on the burner. After a few second turning that off we could still smell it. We go back in the kitchen and the towel on the toaster was on fire. Daniel hurried and grabbed the towel and put it in the sink. Our cute blue towel was all black. It was sad throwing it away. On the towel was some bread and the bag started on fire too. Here are the pictures of the bread but no pictures of the towel. Daniel threw it away before i could take a picture.
