Time for a date... a FAMILY date

While Daniel was on brake from school he took Conner and I on a lot of dates. We went to this new cupcake place here in Logan. Amazing frosting but the cupcakes they cost an arm and a leg. We also got to go have lunch at Great Harvest. They have some really good sandwiches and bread. mmm.. there pumpkin bread. Another day we got a movie called Water for Elephants. It was a good movie and it was sad in some parts. I have to say having Daniel home from school was GREAT! I really enjoyed having him home during the day. Cant wait for summer now!

Park Time in January?

While Daniel was on brake from school we would try to get out of the house to go do something fun. It's kinda strange to say this but yes we did go to the park the 1st part of January. It felt like fall so we had to take advantage of it. We brought Kalvin along so he could get out and run around and he did. Right as soon as Daniel took him off the leash he was off. He was having so much fun and Conner was having fun just watching him run around and around.

We put Conner on a bike thing 1st since he likes to make the noise of it. We told him what it was and what noise it makes and right after he started to make the noise and trying to move the bike. Before he could go to far Kalvin had to go for a ride with him. They are best friends and don't do anything with out each other.

After riding on the totally cool bike we went to the swings. Conner started to fall asleep in the swing. He didn't really enjoy it. He did pick up really fast that you need to move your legs back and forth to get the swing moving.

We couldn't go to the park with out going down the slide. We tried to put Conner on the slide but Kalvin wouldn't let him go down unless he went down it 1st. So we let him try to get up the slide then we put him at the top and down he went. He loved the slide, he went down about 12 times before letting Conner finally go down.

After the slide we had one thing left. The teeter totter!

We had a lot of fun at the park but it was time to get our super tired baby to bed. Kalvin was tired too from running around. He wouldn't walk home he wanted to have a ride in the stroller.

Christmas

Conner's 1st Christmas was great. He got to meet Santa and got a lot of great stuff. Christmas eve we did dinner with the Ethington's. We tried to have the kids do the Nativity but it didn't go so well. We sang some Christmas songs then off to open some gifts. We each got someones name and got that person a gift. Daniel and I loved what we got. After some fun with the Ethingtons we went home to my parents place. Each year we get pj's on Christmas eve so we open them and went to bed.
The next morning we got up at 7 to do Christmas with my parents. Conner wasn't fully awake and opening presents didn't really happen for him. Mommy was happy to help open thou. After Christmas with my parents we went to church with the Ethingtons then after it was Christmas with them. After opening what Santa brought we had our Christmas breakfast.
Later that day we got the best gift and that was talking to Elder Matt Hale! I was so happy to finally talk to my brother. He didn't really talk much he told us he wanted to just hear us but we wanted to know EVERYTHING that was going on. So we played 21 questions. We got to talk to him for about 1 hour. It really didn't seem like an hour.
The rest of the time we just spent time with both families and played some games. We didn't want to go back home to Logan but we had to get back. It was a great Christmas.

Christmas time

We put up our tree on Saturday and Conner hated the way it felt so he wouldn't touch it. We thought good he wont go play in it. He got over that fast. Daniel loves Christmas and I love putting all the decorations up. This year we had a little helper Conner. We would put something up and he would be right behind us taking it down. Daniel is so excited that the tree is up he keeps asking if I would wrap the gift and put them under the tree. I would if I didn't have this cast on my hand. Aah... Christmas time you got to love!

Dislocated thumb

About a week ago I was picking Conner up and I felt my thumb pop. It didn't hurt so I keep going. Every time I picked him up my thumb would pop. Finally of a week of popping and by now there was pain I went to the doctor. They took an x ray and there it was my thumb had popped out of it socket. The doctor gave me two numbing shots and popped it back into place. I was so glad my dad was there to hold my hand. They put a brace on and the doctor told me to not use that hand. That's hard since I'm right handed and it was my right hand. The brace was making my thumb hurt more if I did anything with it. Since I stay home with three kids the doctor put a case on it so I could do the things I need to do and my thumb can heal right. So now I get to wear a purple cast for two-three weeks then a brace for one week.

9 months old

Conner turned nine months today! I still cant believe how fast it has been since he was a newborn. This has been by far the best 9 months of my life. I love being this little guys mommy. By 9 months Conner has said his first word (mama) learned to crawl and to pull himself up on to things. He is pushing things around so he can walk. He just learned to climb the stairs. He is a busy and active little boy you always need to keep an eye on him he gets into things a lot. We love you Conner!

What a mess!!!

I'm working on the blog and Conner dumped a whole wet wax candle on the carpet. I was freaking out I didn't know how to get the wax out of the carpet. Lucky I called my dad and he told me what I needed to do. Conner wants to crawl so I called my aunt to see if she could watch Conner while I cleaned. (Daniel was at work when this happened.) Two minutes before my aunt shows up Daniel get home. (Thanks Francene for watching him.) I get home from the store to finish cleaning and go up stairs. I'm almost done and I needed something downstairs I go to the stairs and what do I find... Conner alone climbing the stairs. We have really steep stairs so when I saw this I almost had a heartattack. Thanks heavens Daniel showed up two seconds later. Looks like we need to keep a closer eye on our little monkey.
